We would like to introduce you to a friend

Have you met Jesus, set aside a few minutes for us to introduce you to Him! An introduction to Jesus is the single most important meeting you will ever encounter!

Consider the following statements concerning the Spiritual Condition of mankind.

1.        The Condition: We Are All Sinners!

Sin – (Greek) Harmatia “To miss the mark

Matthew – “But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

1 John 1:8-9“If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.”

Romans “For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard”

Isaiah 53:6“All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.”

2.      The Result:  What is the result of sin?

Romans “For the Wages of sin is death . . .”

3.     The Solution: Jesus died for our sin!

John 3:16-17“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.”

Isaiah 53:5 - “But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed!”

Romans 5:8 - “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

4.     The Choice: Receive or Reject Jesus Christ as Savior?

Admit you are a sinner, and accept the promise that Jesus is the solution; the choice is yours! Are you ready? Here’s what to do?

First, you must repent,

Luke 13:3 - “. . . And you will also perish unless you turn from your evil ways and turn to God.”

Acts - “Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins.”

Acts - “God overlooked people’s former ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone everywhere to turn away from idols and turn to him.”

Second, YOU must receive Jesus,

Matthew -30 “The Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.”

5.     The Response: An Invitation to You, RSVP, the Gift of Eternal Life

Romans “. . . but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Revelation “Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.”

John “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”

6.     The Assurance of Salvation: God’s Promise

1 John -13 “And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. So whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life.  I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.”

2 Corinthians “What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!”

Psalm 103:12 “He has removed our rebellious acts as far away from us as the east is from the west.”

7.      The Profession of Faith: I Believe

Matthew 10:32-33 – “If anyone acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will openly acknowledge that person before my Father in heaven. But if anyone denies me here on earth, I will deny that person before my Father in heaven.”
